Super easy find. Featuring 'Rivet Catcher' from Great North Eastern Brewing Co Ltd. Now that 'Black Sheep' Brewery in Masham has gone bankrupt the southerners, sorry I mean Yorkshire-folk, will need the Geordies to supply them with superior ale.

Revisit. Rivet in bedrock could not find more modern fenomark today, although didn’t look that hard. Socially distanced trigpointing 101 provided to curious observers in nearby carpark who wanted to know what we were up to. Were slightly bemused even though off to Great Whernside tomorrow and knew it had a pillar. Even more bemused when we started tramping through nettles to find pivot on adjacent roadside wall.

In the photos my 'assistant' is standing on the rivet. We found it, unearthed it, laid a circle of rocks around it and cleaned it as best we could. Seeing as ant1974 had logged it as 'good' a week previously, it seemed to have become buried again very quickly ;-) Praise be to CJO's photos and description.

Rivet in small rock outcrop under an inch of turf. Paced out from CJO directions, after a few iterations, prodded, found rock and soon rivet. 2.5m from foot of tumulus, 8m from road edge. By torchlight and unable to access photos, couldn't spot fenomark with only the one dimension to go on.

I completely fooled the couple who followed me down off Great Whernside and assumed I was heading up Buckden Pike by diverting slightly to the right to bag this rivet and take a picture of it. I think it is the first rivet or bolt I have walked to as I tend to drive to them. It was already partly exposed and easy to find. Different in that it was in a natural rock.
